Chips = Fries = 炸薯條

Chook = Chicken = 雞

Crook = Sick (feeling crook), bad (crook weather), difficult (crook job), also dishonest person

Cuppa = A cup of tea or coffee = 一杯茶/咖啡

Eat here or To go = Dine in or Take Away = 堂食 or 外賣

Footy = Australian Rules football = 欖球

G'Day (= Good Day) = Hello

How ya goin'  = How are you

Not bad mate = Fine, thank you

Jackaroo =  A man in training on a station in Australia = 牧場僱用的新手 (男)

Jillaroo = A woman in training on a station in Australia = 牧場僱用的新手 (女)

Lollies = sweets, candy = 糖

Mozzi = Mosquitoes = 蚊子

No worries = ‘Do not worry about that’, ‘That's alright’, or ‘Sure thing’.  It is similar to ‘no problem’.

Push bike = Bicycle = 單車

Roo = Kangaroo = 袋鼠

Servo = Service station = 加油站

Sheilas = Women = 女人

She'll be right, mate = ‘It'll turn out okay’, ‘Whatever is wrong will right itself with time’

Smoko = smoke or coffee break = 休息時間

Station = a farm/grazing property = 農場/牧場

Sunnies = Sunglasses = 太陽眼鏡

Ta = Thank you = 謝謝

Tea = Supper = 晚餐

Thongs = Flip-flops= 膠人字拖

Tucker = Food = 食品

Vegies = Vegetables = 蔬菜

Woolies = Woolworths supermarket

Yabby = Inland freshwater crayfish =淡水螯蝦
